Renowned comedian Paul Whitehouse is set to reprise his West End starring role as the lovable Grandad in the UK and Ireland tour of the critically acclaimed show Only Fools and Horses The Musical.

Following a record-breaking, sold-out four-year run in London, the 10-month tour of Only Fools and Horses The Musical commenced in September 2024 and is scheduled to visit over 30 towns and cities across the UK, including the Liverpool Empire from June 9th to 21st.

Paul Whitehouse has remarked that they had four remarkable years in the West End, with sell-out audiences every night, and that it is therefore an honour to take Only Fools on the road to towns and cities across the country. He expresses his elation at the opportunity to reprise the role of Grandad, a character for which he notes a personal preference, and asserts that audiences will also have the opportunity to encounter the other characters from the television series with whom they are well-acquainted. The anticipation of audiences to witness the production is palpable. Mange Tout! Mange Tout!"

The production is under the direction of Caroline Jay Ranger, who also oversaw the original West End production, and is based on the record-breaking television show by John Sullivan. This critically acclaimed home-grown musical spectacular features material from Britain's best-loved TV series. The script and original score have been penned by John's son, Jim Sullivan, and Paul Whitehouse. Audiences can expect to reacquaint themselves with Britain's most lovable rogues and experience the classic comedy brought to life on stage through an ingenious script and 20 hilarious songs. Joining Paul Whitehouse on stage are Sam Lupton as Del Boy, Tom Major as Rodney, Georgina Hagen as Raquel, Nicola Munns as Marlene / Cassandra, Craig Berry as Boycie, Lee VG as Trigger, Bradley John as Denzil, Peter Watts as Mickey Pearce / Danny Driscoll (with the exception of performances in London), Darryl Paul as Mike / Tony Driscoll / Cripps, Richard J Hunt as Dating Agent, and Gloria Acquaah-Harrison as Mrs Obooko / Wedding Fitter. Philip Childs will assume the role of Grandad in instances where Paul Whitehouse is unavailable. The cast is rounded out by Rhys Owen, Christopher Arkeston, Andrew Bryant, Kieran Andrew, Katie Paine, Amanda Coutts and Oscar Dobbins.

The audience is invited to join them as they embark on a journey through time, set in the vibrant backdrop of Peckham. Concurrently, the yuppie invasion of London is in full swing, and the atmosphere is charged with romance as Del Boy embarks on a quest to find his soul mate, Rodney and Cassandra prepare to wed, and even Trigger is preparing for a romantic rendezvous. Concurrently, Boycie and Marlene embark on a final foray into parenthood, while Grandad undertakes a period of self-reflection, determining that the opportune moment has arrived to address his health concerns.

The musical contributions of Chas & Dave, the beloved theme tune in a previously unheard arrangement, and an array of original songs full of character and cockney charm, promise an unforgettable experience.  The production of Only Fools and Horses The Musical celebrates traditional working-class London life in 1989 and the shared aspirations of the British populace. The production has been crafted to appeal to a wide audience, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
